Bio

Dorothy Ann "Dot" Johnson, of Burwell, Nebraska, departed this life and entered The Eternal Home on, December 28, 2009, at Burwell at the Community Memorial Health Center. Dorothy was 66 years of age having been born on March 13, 1943, in rural Valley County, Nebraska to Glen E. and Jennie Mae (Davis) Lytle. The family lived in North Loup, Ord and Burwell all in Nebraska, where Dot attended school. She was united in marriage to Robert McCormick of North Platte, Nebraska in 1966. The couple enjoyed life on a ranch near Parks, Nebraska and later operated a service station near Ogallala, Nebraska. Eventually the couple operated "big rigs" Coast to Coast particularly Allied Van Lines in 41 of the 48 Continental States for 17 years. She and her husband divorced and Dot returned to Burwell, Nebraska. On June 22, 1985, Dot was united in marriage to Ken Johnson in Taylor, Nebraska. In May of 2008, Dot was diagnosed with cancer after living cancer free for 42 years. Dot was welcomed into The Heavenly Home by: her parents, Glen and Jennie Mae Lytle; sister, Thelma Lytle and brother, Cal Lytle. Dot is survived by: her husband, Ken Johnson of Burwell, Nebraska; sisters and brother-in-law, Betty Dearmont of Burwell, Nebraska and Leona and Henry Schlunsen of Norfolk, Nebraska; brothers and sisters-in-law, Clay Lytle of Murfreesboro, Arkansas; Lloyd and Shirley Lytle of Burwell, Nebraska; Glen Lytle and Vern and Nancy Lytle, all of Pawnee, Illinois; sister-in-law, Betty Fowler of Arcadia, Nebraska and a host of friends and relatives..
