Ernestine retired from 20yrs. in the oil business. She worked for several companys including Shenandoah Oil Co. which James "Jimmy" Stewart owned. Ernestine died in the hospital in Tyler, TX, however her home was in Forest Grove addition, Lake Palestine, Chandler, Henderson Co., TX She is entombed in a mausoleum next to her husband Richard Clark. Obituary from Tyler Morning Telegraph Feb. 16, 2001: Chandler - Services for Ernestine Cannon Clark, 76, Chandler, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday at Memorial Funeral Home chapel, Tyler, with Rev. Bob Sexton officiating. Entombment will be in Tyler Memorial Park Windsor Mausoleum. Mrs. Clark died Feb. 14 in Tyler. She was born June 23, 1924, in Floydada. She was a secretary for Petroleum Information, a member of West Lake Baptist Church, past officer of Forest Grove Home Owners Association, president of Ladies Auxiliary, and past president of Desk and Derrick Club in Oklahoma City, Okla. She was preceded in death by her husband, R.A. "Dick" Clark, and sister, Theopa Stanaland. Survivors include daughter, Renee' Elosegui, Chandler; brothers, Daniel cannon, Irving, W.E. Cannon, Denison and Derl Cannon, Canton; two granddaughters, on great-grandchild; nieces, nephews and other relatives. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
