Linnie L. Dietzman, 86, of McGregor, Texas, passed away Monday, December 21, 2009. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, December 22, 2009, at Cole Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., Wednesday, December 23, at Zion Lutheran Church, with Pastor Walter Klockers officiating. Interment will follow in McGregor Cemetery, under the direction of Cole Funeral Home in McGregor. Linnie was born in Ireland, Texas, to the late Alburn Ross and Ruby Roenia (Collier) Butler. Her family moved to Eddy when she was a small child, where she was reared and attended school. On July 23, 1938, she married Herbert Lippe in McGregor. On June 18, 1977, she married William "Bill" Dietzman at Zion Lutheran Church in McGregor. She and Bill were co-owners of Dietzman Building Materials from 1977 until 1995. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and was a member of the Naomi Circle and served as treasurer for several years. Preceding her in death was her first husband of 36 years, Herbert, on February 20, 1975; second husband of 27 years, William, on April 16, 2004; a son, Alburn Wayne Lippe; a daughter, Linda Darnell Whatley; sister, Lucille Rhodes; and half-brother, Melvin Bone. Survivors include sons: Herbert Lippe and wife, Karen, of Oglesby, Douglas Lippe and wife, Carole, of Arlington, and David Lippe and wife, Elaine, of Hewitt; 20 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; other relatives and numerous friends.
