John Loden was one of 5 Lodens (William, James, John, Jesse and Benjamin) that came out of Virginia to fight in the Revolutionary War . There are no known references that show that they were related. Because William and James both settled in Cumberland Tennessee it is believed that they are brothers, but no proof. Revolutionary War Veteran John originally married Susannah Pollard in Virginia and she was the mother of 8 of his children. Susannah died between 1808 and 1816. John remarried Nancy between 1809 and 1816 and they had one child James Nunnery Loden. It has always been said that Nancy maiden name was Barton or Weaver. In 1860 a few years after Nancy died James Nunnery Loden is found on the 1860 Census living with his aunt Sarah Weaver Hinkle, Which proves Nancy was a Weaver
