H.S. Henson. Mrs. Meil was a Lutheran and lived in the Corinth community. Bertha Ophila Leudecke married Bruno Meil in 1909 at her parent's home in Jones County, Texas. The couple lived five miles from Stamford on the Anson Highway. Survived by her husband; one son - Dewitt; four daughters - Mitte Lee Meil, Mrs. Christine Jackson, Mrs. Elsie Morris, Mrs. Willie Mae McBay; four brothers - George, Bill, Richard and Elvin Leudecke; four sisters - Mrs. Hattie Gruppell, Mrs. Ida Brown, Mrs. Zenora Davis; three grandchildren.
