Bio
Albina L. Sladecek, 96, of Jarrell, died Tuesday August 1, 2017 in Georgetown, Texas. Albina was born December 2, 1920, along with her twin sister, Angeline, in Walburg, Texas. She was the daughter of John and Rosie Lefner. She married Louis J. Sladecek on May 22, 1946 and was married for 52 years until the death of her husband. She was a homemaker all her life except for a few years where she worked as a cashier for Danek Grocery in Jarrell, Texas. She was an excellent cook and was known for her kolaches, cinnamon rolls and noodles. She enjoyed playing dominoes with her grandchildren and was usually the Champion. Czech music and polka dances were her favorite. She was a member of KJZT and the Moravian Club. Visitation will be Thursday, August 10, 2017 at 6:00 PM at The Gabriels Funeral Chapel in Georgetown, Texas. Rosary will be at 7:00 PM. Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, August 11 at 10:00 AM at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Corn Hill with Father Stephen Nesrsta officiating. Burial in Holy Trinity Catholic Church Cemetery. Pallbearers are Randy Ray, Robby Ray, Ryan Roe, Jason Sladecek, Jason Hoermann and Bill Jansen. Albina was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She is survived by her daughter, Mary Lois Roe and husband Wayne of Georgetown; son Tommy Sladecek and wife Cindy of Jarrell. Grandchildren, Randy Ray and wife Abby of Georgetown, Robby Ray and wife Allison of Georgetown, Ryan Roe of Georgetown, Amber Sladecek of Jarrell, Jason Sladecek and wife Abbey of Hutto, Brittany Hoermann and husband Jason of Jarrell. Great-grandchildren, Houston and Celeste Ray, Bailey and Kelsey Johnson, Jude and Kade Sladecek, Ava and Emma Hoermann; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis, her parents John and Rosie Lefner, her brothers Jacob, Frank, John and Jerry and sisters, Mary Kubacak, Rosie Danek, Barbara Palousek, and Angeline Jansen. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Holy Trinity Cemetery Fund. ************************* Per birth certificate she was born in Georgetown TX.
