h/o 1)Ethel Fulfer 2)Louise Lynn Roddy Funeral services for Howard Ambrous McKee, 2605 Ridgeview, were held Thursday, May 29, in Bright-Holland Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Glynn Vickers officiating. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery. Mr. McKee died Wednesday at his home. He was born June 6, 1901, in Cooper, a son of Joseph and Johnnie Coop McKee. He married Louise Roddy on Feb. 15, 1964 in Paris. He was a Baptist. He lived most of his life in the Roxton area and taught school for 35 years in Lamar and Ellis counties. He later became a probation officer for Lamar an d Fannin Counties, retiring in 1978. Surviving are his wife; two step sons, Charles Lankford of Odessa and Clayton Lankford of Coperas Cove; one brother, Chester McKee of Sulphur Springs; one sister, Mildred Lane of Cooper; one nephew Jonnell McKee; two nieces, Betty Mitchell and Martha Box. He was preceded in death by a sister, Lillian Fisher, in 1983. Bearers were Elmer McNeal, Drew Swearingen, Homer Sisson, John Bailey, L. C. Burrow and Buford Elmier.
