Bio

W/O E. Lee George. OBIT: Ida George of McGregor died Wednesday in a local nursing home. She was 90. Services will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Connally-Compton West Waco Drive Funeral Home, the Rev. Mike Patterson and the Rev. Doyle K. Lawless officiating. Burial will be in McGregor Cemetery. Mrs George was born June 5, 1901, in Alabama, and moved to Texas in 1908. She was a longtime resident of McGregor. She married Lee George in 1917; He died in 1963. Survivors include three daughters, Morjorie Fitzpatrick and Peggy Bays both of Lorena, and Mary Oliver of Colorado; a son Richard C. George of Waco; 10 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; and seven great great grandchildren. The family will receive visitors from 6 to 8 tonight at Connally-Compton West Waco Drive Funeral Home.
