Jordan Freeman Osborn was born Friday, August 24, 1883 in Buchanan, Haralson County, Georgia, to Benjamin Langston Osborn and Julia A. Nagle Osborn . He married Alice Mae Newman , a daughter of Joseph Rodney Newman and Mattie Newman . ~ Jordan F. Osborn Jordan Freeman Osborn, 78, 1010 9th Ave. SE. died Monday in a Hartselle hospital. Funeral services will to be conducted Wednesday at 3:30 p.m at Guntharp-Brown Service Funeral Home Chapel with O. D. Morrow and James Ray officiating. Burial will be in Johnsons Chapel cemetery with Guntharp-Brown Service directing. He is survived by the widow, Mrs. Alice M. Osborn, Decatur; one daughter, Mrs. G. H. Foote, Gadsden; four sons, Harold of Gilbert, Iowa, Jordan of Eagle Grove, Iowa, and Nealy and Joe Osborn, both of Decatur; six brothers, Arthur Osborn, Orlando, Fla.; Oscar of Birmingham, Lewis of Decatur, Roy of Scottsboro, Pruitt of California, and Clark Osborn, Grimes, Iowa; one sister, Mrs. F. L. Crowe Hartselle; 14 grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be A. C. Taylor, James Thornsberry, James Morgan, Raymond Olinger, Edwin Hancock, and Robert Richardson.
