Emmo was the daughter of John Henry Packer and Elizabeth Glazier. She had at least three siblings: Martha Jane, Jennie Elizabeth, and William Henry. Emmo married John Alexander Kennedy on December 17, 1875. They were the parents of eight children: Emma Jane, Edward, Melvina Frances, Lauretta, Mable, John Alexander, and two infant daughters. Emmo married George Graham Dinnell on March 14, 1914 in Michigan. Emmo later married John Snyder King. He is listed as widowed in 1920 census, living with his daughters. Dies Month After Husband Within a month to the day of the death of her husband, Mrs. Emmo Jene King, widow of the late John King, received the final summons. her demise occurred suddenly on Sunday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. M. J. King, seven miles northeast of Gonvick. Suffering slightly from bronchitis - a chronic ailment, Mrs. King had retired for the night seemingly in her usual health. At a late hour she was attended by her daughter who returned to the mother's room again about 3 o'clock to find she had passed away. Mrs. King was 75 years and 3 days old at the time of her death, having been born January 10th, 1854, in New York City. She resided in that city until 1912 when she came here to live following her marriage to Mr. King.
