Bio

A farmer, one of 16 children born to John Dawson of MS and Mary Ann "Polly" Webb, and husband of Mary Jane Stroope Dawson of Arkansas, who died of uremia and nephritis and was buried 4 May 1930. Married first in 1876 Elizabeth Caroline "Callie" Stroope, sister of Mary Jane, with whom he had 2 children. Married Mary Jane, 3 Feb 1881 in Bell County TX, with whom he had at least 7 children.
