Leo Hoelscher Of Westphalia Dies Tuesday Funeral services for Leo H. Hoelscher, 84, of Westphalia were held at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, February 16, at Church of the Visitation in Westphalia, Msgr. Robert P. Schertz and Rev. Leonard Buxkemper officiated. Burial was in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Rosary was recited at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Nicholson-Hoelscher Funeral Home in Rosebud. Mr. Hoelscher died in a Corpus Christi hospital Tuesday after an illness of two weeks. Mr. Hoelscher, a retired farmer, was born in Ellinger, but had lived in Westphalia 60 years. His wife died in 1958. Survivors are three sons, Jake Hoelscher of Ballinger, Leo Hoelscher and Raymond Hoelscher, both of Corpus Christi; four daughters, Mrs. Frank Kassner of Corpus Christi, Mrs. Ligie Pacha of Temple, Mrs. George Greener and Mrs. Leo Niekamp, both of Westphalia; one brother, M.A. Hoelscher of Travis; one sister, Mrs. Charles Jetter of Rosebud; 30 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren.
