St. George, UT - Sarah (Sally) Jansen, age 86, passed away Monday, November 30, 2009 in St. George, Utah.. Sarah was born May 15, 1923 in Franklin, Arizona to Milo T. Gale and Zylpha Merrill Gale. She graduated from high school and went on to become a licensed beautician. While living in Phoenix, Arizona, she met and married Kenneth E. Yapp on November 21, 1942. She later married Harlan M. Jansen on September 22, 1976 in the Mesa Temple. Harlan and Sally were called to a mission and served in Louisiana and California. They were temple workers in the Las Vegas and the St. George Temples. He passed away in Sept 2005. She loved cooking, crocheting and spending time with family and friends. Sarah is survived by her children; Patricia (Bruce) Schweitzer, Beverly (Hans) Thom, Debra (Leo) Brekel, Kenneth (Robin) Yapp and Christine (John) Robertson. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, two sisters, one brother, several nieces and nephews, and many special friends. Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 4, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at the Ivins LDS Stake Center, 260 East 1060 South, Ivins, Utah. A visitation will be from 9:00 to 9:45 a.m., prior to services at the chapel. Interment will be at the Ivins City Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Metcalf Mortuary,
