Mamie (Nannie) Lou Pigg Mrs. Nannie Lou Franklin, 93, of Petersburg died Saturday in Health Inn Care Center after a long illness. The funeral was Sunday at the Petersburg chapel of Ralston-McCauley. Funeral Home Edwin Carpenter officiated and burial was in Talley Cemetery beside her husband, the late James Ford Franklin. She was a native of Lincoln County, daughter of the late Samuel Doak and Etta Talley Pigg, and a member of the Church of Christ. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Elise Mitchell of Montgomery, Ala.; a son, Willie Doak Franklin of Petersburg; a sister, Miss Jenna Boyd Pigg of Petersburg; a brother, J.D. Pigg of Petersburg; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Obituary courtesy of Margaret
