Bio

Son of Thomas Clevy and Barbara Miller. He married Mattie A. Shockey Obituary: Samuel Joseph Clevy, 61, died at his home Friday morning. He was born in Richland county, IL, son of Thomas and Barbara Miller Clevy. His wife preceded him in death. He was a member of the Methodist church at Claremont, IL. Surviving are two children, Miss Mabel Clevy and Ralph Clevy, both of Vincennes. He also leaves four sisters, Mrs. Anna Anderson, Mrs. Sarah Emma McManus and Mrs. Maud Timmons, Vincennes, and Rosetta Sinclair of Decker, and one brother John Clevy of Claremont. Three grandchildren also survive. Funeral services will be conducted from the Methodist church in Claremont Sunday with Rev. Storer officiating. Burial will be in Mt Pleasant cemetery near Claremont.
