Velmer Lee "Toddy" Perkins, of Hull, passed away Tuesday. She loved to hunt and fish and also enjoyed crocheting. She will be best remembered by her family as a Lady who loved her Church and her family and for the many things that she cooked. She made homemade biscuits and dumplings and really enjoyed making and selling fried pies for her Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer Lee Freeman and Francis Leona Odom; husband: Grover Lee Perkins, Sr.; sisters: Rachel Louise Messer and Mary Freeman and brother: Elmer Lee Freeman, Jr. Survivors include her children: Grover Lee Perkins, Jr. and his wife Mary; Velma Rawson, Ida Kruize and her husband Larry, Rose Perkins, Margaret Gollihare and her husband James and Jennifer Youngblood and her husband Prentiss; Brothers and Sisters: Melinda Freeman, J. B. Freeman, Pete Freeman, Buddy Freeman, Alice Myrick, Betty Gordon, Verline Ferguson, Marie Will and Nita Faye Freeman; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Funeral service at the Daisetta United Pentecostal Church in Daisetta with the Rev. Lonnie Jordan and Bro. Kasey Shipman officiating. Burial at Guedry Cemetery in Batson.
