Notes- He married Margaret 21 June 1905 in Leavenworth, Kansas, this was her 2nd marriage, his first marriage, after Margaret passed away he married Georgia Per; World War II Draft Registration, his birth is 19 Jan. 1879 (unlike the headstone which shows 1878) in Pittsburg, Kansas, (I would trust this as his place of birth) 1910 Census, in Kansas City, Missouri, he is married to Margaret, Herbert and Margaret has been married 6 years. Emma Barrett is a step-daughter to Herbert. He is the son of Irvin Hollingsworth and Sarah Haddock, they were married 13 Jun 1871, in Crawford, Kansas. The Kansas City Times (Kansas City, Missouri) Thur. 27 Nov. 1958, Page-4D; HOLLINGSWORTH -- Herbert Hollingsworth, 80, of 2235 Lathrop, Kansas City, Kansas died last night at Providence Hospital, after a three year illness. Mr. Hollingsworth was born near Joplin, Missouri and had been a resident of Kansas City, Kansas for 60 years. He had been an engineer for the Kansas City Terminal railway, retiring in 1944 after 40 years of service. Mr. Hollingsworth was a member of the Brotherhood of Railway Trainmen. He leaves his wife, Georgia Hollingsworth and a daughter, Mrs. Virginia Mae Ashleman, both of the home and another daughter, Mrs. Betty Wymore, 719 Lyon, Kansas City, Kansas. Services will be at 10 o'clock Saturday at the Fulton Chapel. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery. Friends may call after 5 o'clock Friday at the Chapel.
