Pvt KIA Okinawa WW II Pvt Jesse Brown Killed On Okinawa Mrs. John Brown of Santa Anna Route has been informed by the War Department that her son Pvt. Jesse Brown was killed in action on Okinawa May 18, 1945. A teacher, Pvt Brown 27 entered the service in Sept 1944 and trained at Camp Hood. He went to the Sothern Pacific in March of this year.He taught in the public school at Santo, Texas six years prior to entering the service. Survivors: Are his mother and brother, William.
