Bio

Keowee Courier November 06, 1901 Mrs. Susan Leathers died at the home of her son, Mr. George Leathers, Friday, Novombor 1, after an illness of some weeks. Her body was laid to rest in the cemetery. Mrs. Leathers was born 1823 and was thus 78 years old tho 5th of October. In 1845 she was married to Mr. William W. Leathers who predeceased her over thirty years. Two children, Mr. George Leathers and Mrs. J. M. Hull, together with a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren are left to mourn their loss. Sho was a consistent member of the Baptist church and was always in attendance at the services of her church. Her great delight was in visiting and cheering the sick and distressed. Verily a mother in Israel has gone to her reward.
