Elaine MaryAnn (Stevens) Otte, 91, passed away at the Courtyard of the Loyalton in Joliet, IL on Sunday, September 11th, 2011 due to complications following a fall. She was born May 8th, 1920 in Walthill, NE, the daughter of Arthur L. Stevens and Atalee L. Hazlitt. She graduated from St. Edward High School. Elaine married Ray Otte Sr. on March 4, 1945 at Kimball, NE and lived north of Scottsbluff where they worked together on the family farm. Later in life she worked at Scottsbluff Office Supply. Elaine is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Linda Kay (twin) & Ken Benson of Punta Gorda, FL; grandsons & their wives: Eric & Lisa Benson of Plainfield, IL, Jordan Otte of Denver, CO, Adrian & Ashley Otte of Kansas City, KS, Nathan Otte of Kansas City, KS and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Ray Sr., her sons Stephen, Ray Jr. (twin), 2 infant daughters, and one infant great-grandson. Memorial services will be held at 9:00 a.m., Saturday, September 17th, 2011 at Dugan-Kramer Funeral Chapel at 3201 Avenue B in Scottsbluff with Pastor Brad Gustafson officiating. Inurnment will be in Fairview Cemetery in Scottsbluff.
