Services Held Saturday For A.B. Ctvrtlik Albert Ben Ctvrtlik, 78, of Waco died Thursday morning in a Waco hospital. Requiem Mass was celebrated at 4 p.m. Saturday in St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West, Rev. Earl Hedberg officiated. Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery in West. Rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Friday in Kotch Funeral Home Chapel in West. Mr. Ctvrtlik was born in Czechoslovakia and had lived in West a number of years before moving to Waco in 1933. He was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church and was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 2305 of West. He was retired from the dietary department of the Veterans Administration Hospital where he worked for a number of years. He was a World War I veteran. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Amalie Ctvrtlik; five sons, Robert A. Ctvrtlik and Thomas E. Ctvrtlik, both of Houston, John H. Ctvrtlik of Toledo, Ohio, Albert J. Ctvrtlik of Waco and Edward A. Ctvrtlik of Taylor; two daughters, Mrs. George T. (Dorothy) Pratt of Dallas and Mrs. James R. (Alice) Schrade of Waco; a brother, Dr. Joseph L. Ctvrtlik of West and eight grandchildren. Pallbearers: James Schrade, George Pratt, Jr., Gus Borgeson, Raymond Urbanovsky, George Phife, and Michael Fell.
