Dorothy Louise (Urbanovsky) Stiff, age 95, of Clearwater, Florida, passed away Wednesday morning, September 30, 2020 at Morton Plant Hospital after a brief illness. A Memorial Service was held at 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 6, 2020 at the family home in Clearwater, FL, with Dr Anthony Stiff, her grandson and a Presbyterian Pastor, officiating. Masks and social distancing were required at the memorial. A Memorial Graveside Service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 21, 2020 at St. Mary's Cemetery in West. Dorothy was born August 17, 1925 in West, the daughter of the late Raymond and Lillian Urbanovsky. She attended St. Mary's School and was a 1943 graduate of West High School. On February 2, 1948 she was united in marriage to Lacy M. Stiff in Washington, DC. Lacy preceded her in death on November 4, 1990. Dorothy worked for the Veterans Administration and Department of Navy and Marine Corps, before retiring from Federal Government service in 1975. She also worked for County of Westmoreland, Virginia Division of Social Services and volunteered for Pinellas County School System until 2004. She enjoyed reading, crosswords, Czech genealogy, and spending time with her grandson and great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St Mary’s School in West, Texas or a charity of your choice.
