Eugene R. (Urby) Urbanovsky (Roy Gene), age 61, of West, passed away Monday morning, February 7, 1994 in a Ft. Worth hospital. Rosary was recited at 3 p.m. Wednesday in St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated 3:15 p.m. Wednesday in St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption, with Rev. Ed Karasek as celebrant. Burial followed in St. Mary's Cemetery, West. Mr. Urbanovsky was born November 19, 1932 in Abbott. He was employed by General Dynamics now Lockheed for 40 years. He was also owner and operator of Urby's Construction Company. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West, the K.J.T. Society No. 31 of West, a past Grand Knight of Knights of Columbus Council No. 2813 of Ft. Worth and past Faithful Navigator of the General Worth Assembly Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus in Ft. Worth. He married Lillian Kasik, February 9, 1952 at Abbott. He is preceded in death by his father, Ed Urbanovsky, who died in 1975 and a brother, Jerry Urbanovsky, who died in 1991. Mr. Urbanovsky is survived by his wife, Lillian of West/Fort Worth; two sons, Douglas Urbanovsky of Ft. Worth and Michael Urbanovsky of Weatherford; seven daughters, Jacquelynn Kring, Becky Parnell and Melissa Zahirniak, all of Crowley, Sheila Ward of Granbury, Cheryl Schumacher of Ft. Worth, Tina Kolar of West and Melody Wilde of Houston; his mother, Mary Urbanovsky of West; two brothers, Laddie Urbanovsky and Bernard Urbanovsky, both of West; three sisters, Patsy Picha and Roberta Anderson, both of West and Marie Kershen of Amarillo; and 21 grandchildren. Active pallbearers were Bobby Urbanovsky, Dennis Urbanovsky, John Kasik, Tommy Urbanovsky, Robert Kasik and Edward Kasik. Honorary pallbearers were Bobby Urbanovsky, Dennis Urbanovsky, John Kasik, Tommy Urbanovsky, Robert Kasik and Edward Kasik. Honorary pallbearers were grandsons and members of Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus General Worth Assembly. Kotch Funeral Home in West was in charge of arrangements.
