L.C. Rendek, Former Westite, Dies Tuesday Lawrence C. Rendek of Waco died Tuesday, Oct. 9 at his home. Funeral services will be held Friday, Oct. 12, at 9:30 a.m. at the Church of the Assumption in West. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. Rosary was recited at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Compton Funeral Chapel in Waco. Mr. Rendek was born in Hungary, Aug. 4, 1886. He had lived in West prior to moving to Waco. He was a retired farmer. He was a member of St. Mary's Church of the Assumption in West. Survivors include four daughters; Mrs. Regina Heckler and Mrs. Christine Gismont, both of Hurst, Texas, Mrs. Irene Zaskoda of Port Nueces, and Mrs. Teresa Kapavik of West; two sons, Henry Rendek of Waco and Lawrence Rendek with the U.S. Navy in Massachusetts; one sister, Mrs. Henry Gaiser of West; 21 grandchildren.
