Henry Joe Polasek, 64, of 508 East Spruce in West, a former employee of Trunk Line Gas Co., died Monday afternoon, May 11, at his home. Rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 12, in Kotch Funeral Home Chapel, West. Graveside services were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 13 in St. Mary's Cemetery, West. Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery, West. Mr. Polasek was born in Otto. He had lived in Edna and was employed by Trunk Line Gas Co. for 13 years. He was a World War II veteran and a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 4819, American Legion Post No. 478, Knights of Columbus Council No. 2305 and SPJST Lodge No. 6. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and had lived in West for 11 years. Survivors include his wife, Helen Polasek; a son, Donald Dvoracek of Hearne; a brother, Frank Polasek of Lasalle; two sisters, Lillie Novak of Flatonia and Annie Zanbrasky of Shiner; and a grandson.
