Adolph Marek Dies At Age 86 Adolph H. Marek, 86, of West, died Wednesday morning in West Community Hospital. Rosary was recited at 8 p.m. at Kotch Funeral Home Chapel in West. Mass of Christian burial was celebrated Saturday in St. Mary's Catholic Church, Rev. George Doskocil officiating. Burial followed in St. Mary's Cemetery in West. Mr. Marek was born in Fayette County and had lived in the West area 25 years. He was a retired farmer and butcher and had owned and operated a meat market in Hillsboro a number of years. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and KJT Society No. 31. Survivors include four sons, Al D. Marek of Houston, Wesley Marek and William Marek, both of Corpus Christi, and Eugene Marek of West; three daughters, Mrs. L.J. Beseda of Corpus Christi, Mrs. Clyde Novotny of Dallas and Sister Allene of St. Louis, Mo., one brother, Frank Piksa of Penelope; five sisters, Mrs. Annie Cook of Houston, Mrs. Marie Truly and Mrs. Winnie Reedy, both of Hubbard, Mrs. Fannie Novak and Mrs. Mattie Kocian, both of Penelope; 24 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
