Kallus, 54, of Route 2, Abbott, was dead on arrival Monday at a Waco hospital after suffering a heart attack at Fleetwood Trailer Company. Rosary was recited at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in Kotch Funeral Chapel at West. Requiem Mass was celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West with Rev. B. J. Zientek as celebrant. Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery. Mr. Kallus was born in West and had lived in the West area all his life. He was employed at Fleetwood Trailer Company for the past six years and for the J. C. Farmer Plumbing Company for the previous 17 years. Mr. Kallus was a member of KJT Society No. 31 at West and was a veteran of World War II. Survivors include his wife; one son, Bennie Kallus of Route 2, Abbott; one daughter, Miss Mary Kallus of Route 2, Abbott; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Kallus of Abbott; two brothers, Ernest Kallus of Hillsboro and Jerome Kallus of Abbott; two sisters, Mrs. Victor (Martha) Petter of Abbott and Mrs. Louis (Lillian) Kupcak of Waco.
