Mrs. Robert (Dorothy) Hykel, age 59 of Desoto, formerly of West, passed away Thursday afternoon, March 16 in a Waco hospital. Rosary was recited 2 p.m. Saturday in St. Martin's Catholic Church in Tours, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 2:15 p.m. with Rev. Isidore Rozycki, as celebrant. Burial followed in St. Mary's Cemetery in West. Mrs. Hykel was born July 27, 1940 in West and had been a resident of Desoto since 1971. She graduated from West High School in 1958 and married Robert Hykel in 1961 at West. She was employed at Advantage Marketing in Ft. Worth for the past nine years. Mrs. Hykel is survived by her husband, Robert Hykel of Desoto; three sons, Mark Hykel of Plano, David Hykel and wife Tracey of Bedford and Chris and wife Susan of Plano; her mother, Mrs. Robert (Willie Mae) Necker of Tours. Active Pallbearers were Michael Cason, Joey Brignac, Church Sulak, Shawn Pratt, Gene Hykel and Ronnie Snapka. Honorary Pallbearers were all of her nephews.
