Michael L. Grimm, 27, of Route 2, West died Friday, January 13, 1989 in a West hospital. Rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Sunday at St. Martin's Catholic Church in Tours. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Martin's Catholic Church in Tours, the Rev. Isidore Rozycki as celebrant. Burial followed at St. Mary's Cemetery in West. Mr. Grimm was born January 1, 1962 in Austin, and lived in West all of his life. He was a member of St. Martin's Catholic Church of Tours and the West Longhorn Club. He also was a director of the West Chamber of Commerce. He graduated from West High School in 1980 and McLennan Community College in 1983. He was an insurance agent with Grimm Insurance Company of West. Survivors include his wife, Gina Scheler Grimm of West; a daughter, Cassidy Grimm of West; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Edd Grimm of West; a brother, Pat Grimm of West; two sisters, Suzanne Grimm and Betsy Grimm, both of West; his paternal grandmother, Mrs. Herman Grimm of Tours; and his maternal grandmother, Mrs. Louis Karlik of West; mother and father-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Alwood Scheler of Tours and a sister-in-law, Valerie Grimm of West. Pallbearers were Richard Matus, Steve Matus, Johnny Hutyra, Doug Hutyra, David Petter, Andy Petter, Darrell Altus and Ernie Keel. Kotch Funeral Home of West was in charge of arrangements.
