Mrs. Edith Gerik, Of Hubbard, Dies; Rites Held Sat. Funeral services for Mrs. Edith Mamie Gerik of Hubbard, former West resident, were held at 10 a.m. Saturday in the Church of Assumption, West. Rev. Frank Miller and Rev. Bohumil Hruby officiated. Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery. Rosary was recited at 7:30 p.m. Friday at the Gerik residence in West. Connally Funeral Home was in charge of the services. Mrs. Gerik died at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, June 13, in a Waco hospital following a very brief illness. She was 43. Mrs. Gerik was born in Hill County. She was employed for several years as bookkeeper at Adams' Chevrolet Company before moving to Hubbard, where she worked as bookkeeper at Gerik Chevrolet Company. She is survived by her husband, Ernest Gerik, and one son, Rodney Gerik, both of Hubbard; four sisters, Mrs. H.C. Miller and Mrs. E.G. Nabors of Waco, Mrs. W.E. Poteet of Hubbard, and Mrs. Floyd Walls of West; three brothers, J.A. Williams of Waco, B.H. Williams and J.H. Williams of Fort Worth.
