Bio

Willie (Bill) Barton, 69, of Dallas, formerly of West, died Saturday, December8, 1984 at a Dallas hospital. Services were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Kotch Funeral Home Chapel, the Rev. William Spong officiating. Burial followed at St. Mary's Cemetery. Mr. Barton was born Jan. 11, 1915 at West. He had lived in Dallas since 1943. He was employed at Higgonbothem and Bailey Dry Goods Store in Dallas for 10 years. He was a retired Metzgers Dairy employee. Mr. Barton was married to Albina Kadlubar, who died in 1976. Survivors include a son, Raymond Barton of Dallas; a daughter, Mrs. Jerry (Shirley) Allen of DeSoto; a brother, Leon Barton of Stawn; a sister, Earline Smith of Mabank; and six grandchildren. Pallbearers were Ray Barton, Donald Allen, Don Anderson, Harold Smith, James Connar and Ed Traywick. The West News, West, Texas, Volume 94, No. 50, Edition 1, Thursday, December 13, 1984, page 7.
