Marvin Kocurek, age 45 of West, passed away Sunday evening, November 28, 1999 in a Temple hospital. Rosary was recited 7 p.m. Tuesday in Kotch Funeral Home Chapel. Graveside services were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Mary's Cemetery with the Rev. Ed Karasek officiating. Mr. Kocurek was born May 19, 1954 in Navarro County and had lived in the West area all of his life. He had been employed at West Flour Mill for 20 years and had served in the U.S. Marine Corp from 1972 until 1974. He was a member of the K.J.T. Society #107 of Abbott. Mr. Kocurek was preceded in death by his father, Jerry Kocurek, who died December 13, 1991. Survivors include his mother, Ruth Kocurek of West; two sons, Darren Kocurek and Aaron Allen, both of West; one brother, Robert Kocurek of Aquilla; three sisters, Bernie Klish, Patty Urbanovsky and Janette Cinek, all of West.
