Bio
Mrs. Elizabeth Williams 87, died Monday, Dec. 25, 2006, at the Renfro Nursing Home in Waxahachie. She was born March 2, 1919 in Bardwell, the daughter of Jessie and Annie Wood. She was reared in Bardwell, graduating from Bardwell High School in 1937. On Dec. 21, 1941 she was married to Herman Edward Williams. After their marriage they lived in Bardwell until moving to Waxahachie in 1993. Mr. Williams preceded her in death on Feb. 7, 1993. Mrs. Williams was a retired elementary teacher and a member of the 1st Baptist Church of Bardwell and the Eastern Star in Bardwell. Needlepoint was her love. She is survived by a son and his wife, Don and Ann Williams of Waxahachie; brother, Robert and his wife, Ardeena Wood of Bardwell; sister-in-law, Jean Mauldin of Waxahachie; 3 grandchildren and their spouses, Dee and Eric Wright of Kennedale, Dianna and David Cox of Carrollton, Dana and Mark James of Waxahachie; four great grandchildren, Cody and Haley Wright of Kennedale, Madelynn James of Waxahachie and Will Cox of Carrollton. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 28, 2006 in the J.E. Keever Chapel in Ennis. Interment will follow in the Elm Branch Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday.
