Services for Ollie Ophelia Oldham Tate, 79, of Marble Falls, formerly of Lubbock, will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Resthaven's Abbey Chapel with the Rev. Dale Cain officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Park under the direction of Resthaven Funeral Home of Lubbock. She died Thursday, Jan. 29, 2003, in Llano. She was born Feb. 9, 1923, in Childress County. She married Clarence "Red" Oldham, who died in 1991. She married John M. Tate on Feb. 9, 1996, in Durango, Colo. She graduated from Childress High School and owned and operated a beauty salon for 15 years. She was a resident of Lubbock for more than 40 years and lived a short time in Marble Falls. She was a member of the Order Of The Eastern Star and Calvary Baptist Church in Lubbock. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Cynthia Miller. Survivors include her husband; a son, Jim Oldham of Kingsland; a daughter, Judy Hogue of Brownwood; two brothers Duaine Sims of Childress and Dale Sims of Longmont, Colo.; a sister, Elora Zuber of Childress; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
