NETTLETON : Myrtle Loden Medley, 97, died Sunday, Feb. 1, 1998, at her daughter's residence after an extended illness. She was born Nov. 25, 1900, in Itawamba County to Millard B. and Ella B. Hall Loden. She had resided in Monroe County most of her life and was a homemaker. She was a member of South Nettleton Baptist Church. Services will be at 2 p.m. today at the Chapel of Tisdale-Lann Memorial Funeral Home in Nettleton with the Rev. Wayne Higgins and the Rev. Phillip Hatley officiating. Burial will be in the Liberty Cemetery. Survivors include four daughters, Iva Lee Medley Payne and her husband, Ovel, Ellouise Medley Owings Bishop and her husband, Charlie, Helen Medley Hatley and her husband, J.D., Wren Medley Jackson and her husband, Bill, all of Nettleton; three sons, Grover C. "Bud" Medley Jr. and his wife, Velma, of Nettleton, Bobby G. Medley and his wife, Ann, of Anniston, Ala., and Archie G. Medley of Memphis; 19 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren, 18 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Grover C. Medley Sr., who died Aug. 25, 1986; one infant daughter; two sons, Wayne Thomas Medley and Thelbert Medley; one grandson, William W. "Bill" Owings.
