Bio
Howard was the son of Daniel L Gibford of Indiana and Nancy A Watkins, of Kentucky. Howard had many siblings. His father Daniel was married to an Elizabeth J Bates as well, so his siblings also include half-siblings. His full siblings included Edward Sheridan and Alice Sarah. There was also Edna Alta, Raymond Bates and Karl Bates, that I think the 2 boys are half-siblings and I am not sure about the girl, Edna. He also had 2 half-brothers, who died in infancy, Morrell (1892-1893) and Virgil (1894-1894). Howard married his first wife, Grace L Atwood on the 25th of October, 1894 in Jasper County, Iowa. Both Howard and Grace were 24 years old at the time. The affidavit of marriage lists, personal knowledge of the clerk. Howard's second marriage was to Delia Grace Pocock in 1907. This was also the second marriage for Delia. Delia was 10 years younger than Howard. At the time of their marriage, Delia had a daughter, Daisy Bell Taylor, who then became Howard's step-daughter. In 1910, all 3 were living together in Greenfield, Adair, Iowa. Howard was a Dentist, working on his own accord, in his own office, and owned his home outright.
