Benjamin L. (Ben) Emmons, 90, of Fairfield, died Wednesday, October 28, 2009 in Fairfield. Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday at Fairfield Cemetery with Rev. Terry Skinner officiating. Mr. Emmons was born on May 31, 1919 in Freestone County to parents Leonard and Hazel Weaver Emmons. He moved to Dallas when he was eighteen where he lived and worked at Texas Instruments as a security officer until returning to Fairfield about 1970. He then retired from the power plant as a security officer. During WWll he served in Europe as an MP. He was a member of the VFW. His wife, Frankie Emmons preceded him in death in 2006. Survivors include a daughter, Jean White and husband Tommie of Terrell; grandchildren, Bryan W. Pullen of Humble and Jeana C. Herndon of McKinney; three great-grandchildren.
