An Obituary from "Gatesville Messenger & Star Forum," Friday, March 9, 1956: Funeral services were held here Thursday afternoon for Mrs. Paul Wiley, 52, former Gatesville resident who was killed instantly in a car truck collision in Houston at 6:30 p. m. Tuesday. Mrs. Wiley, a nurse, had been living in Houston the past 15 months. Rev. Ollie Williams conducted the rites at Scott's Chapel and burial was in the Restland Cemetery. Mrs. Wiley was the former Miss Laura Audrey Tutor and was a native of Bell County. A member of the Baptist Church, she lived in Coryell County practically all her life. Her husband, Mr. Wiley, died in 1954. Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. August Oppermann of Temple, Mrs. John Bales of Gatesville, Mrs. Jeanne Bradshaw of Houston, and Mrs. Arthur Lapper of Houston; six grandchildren; seven brothers, Henry, Charley, Ruben and William Tutor, all of Houston, Thomas and Jesse Tutor of Temple and Abb Tutor of Jal, N M; and four sisters, Mrs. Henry Harvell, Mrs. C[?]Y Rhodes, and Mrs. Aubrey Dragoo, all of Temple, and Mrs. William Halfaker of Houston.
