Waxahachie Daily Light; Jul 24, 1937 Mr. I. W. Dandridge, age 66, pioneer farmer of Ennis community, died Friday at the Municipal Hospital in Ennis, following an illness of six weeks. He was taken to the hospital last Sunday. Isom Washington Dandridge was born in Lawrence County, AL, Dec 15, 1870, and came to Texas with his parents, the late Mr. and Mrs. Liberty Dandridge, when he was three years of age. They settled on a farm near Milford where they lived for a short time before moving to Ennis community more than sixty years ago, where his parents died. He was married in Ennis to Miss Frances Generim about 45 years ago, who, with seven children survive, four sons, George, Willie, and Carl Dandridge of Dallas, and Travis Dandridge of Ennis, and three daughters, Mrs. Buck Faulkner, Marlin; Mrs. C. M. Lewis, Winona, and Mrs. Jodie Hayes, Dallas; also surviving are eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Since moving to Ennis in 1921, the family has resided at 903 South Dallas Street. Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 4 o'clock at the First Baptist Church in Ennis, with Rev. E. O. Stewart, evangelist, officiating. Rev. Stewart will be assisted by Rev. A. J. Kirkland. Interment will be made in Myrtle Cemetery, Ennis.
