Services for Mary B. Polasek, 82, of LA Grange were held Sept. 19 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Plum with the Rev. Jerome Stryk officiating. Burial followed at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church Cemetery in Plum. Polasek died Sept. 17 at her residence. She was born Nov. 18, 1912, in La Grange, Texas, the daughter of John and Frances Pechal Ermis. Polasek was united in marriage with John Polasek on Oct 9, 1934, in Plum. She was a housekeeper and was affiliated with Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. She also was a member of the KJT, Altar Society and La Grange Catholic Daughters of America. Polasek was preceded in death her husband, John Polasek, a brother, John Ermis; and a sister, Martha. Survivors include two daughters and a son-in-law, Joan and Robert Stavinoha of Rosenberg and Mary Lou Goehring of La Grange; a son and daughter-in-law, John C. and Marie Polasek of Mobile, Ala.; a brother, Julius Ermis of Yoakum; two sisters, Emma Mechura of La Grange and Adela Melcher of Austin; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
