Bio
Steve Joe Janecek Pvt. Steve Joe Janecek, son of Mrs. Annie Janecek, of Smithville, was born Dec. 23, 1895. He entered the service May 25, 1918, and was assigned to Co. B, 131st M. G. Bn., which trained at Camp Travis. Went over in 1918, and participated in several engagements. Developed pneumonia, from which he died Oct. 24, 1918.
