Bio

Howard Woodrow Cook of Lorena, a retired Waco police lieutenant, died Wednesday in Dallas at the age of 64. Services were officiated by the Rev. Mike Patterson with a Masonic graveside service. He was born in Axtell, where he went to school. He married Betty Jean Forde on Dec. 2, 1950. Mr. Cook worked for the Waco Police Department for 32 years, retiring as a lieutenant. After retiring, he worked for the American Income Life Insurance Co. Survivors include his wife; one son, Greg Cook of Robinson; one daughter, Judy Goolsby of Robinson; two sisters, Daisy Mosley and Naomi Bird, both of Bellmead. two brothers, Willis Cook and Clarence Julian Cook, both of Waco; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
