Service for Callie Jameson Hickerson, 78, of Slidell was Jan. 16, in the First Baptist Church of Slidell. The Rev. David Bradshaw presided, assisted by Warren Chesser. Burial followed at Oaklawn Cemetery in Decatur. Hickerson died Jan. 14, 2000, in Garland. She was born Feb. 22, 1921, in Decatur. She was a homemaker and was married to the late Finis Hickerson on May 28, 1939, in Marietta, Okla. She was a member of the Slidell First Baptist Church. She is survived by two sons, Reggie Hickerson of Mesquite and Ronnie Hickerson and his wife Shari of Clifton; two brothers, Frank and Billy Blake Jameson of Denton; and three grandchildren, R.J. Hickerson, Jr., Ryan Lee Hickerson and Chelsea B. Hickerson, all of Clifton. Pallbearers were Hal Hickerson, Loyd Bennett, Don Gordon, Lawrence Blake Jameson, Norman Jameson, Tim Fletcher, Chris Fletcher and Eric Fletcher. Memorials may be made to the building fund of the Slidell First Baptist ChurcH.
