Spouse: Edwin Allen Howard (1937 TX - 1988) (married 1963) Mary Carolyn Howard, age 76, of McKinney, Texas, passed away April 8, 2009, in McKinney. Mary was born March 11, 1933 in McKinney to John Newton and Nova Irene (Clayton) Butler. She grew up in Collin County and graduated from McKinney High School. She is survived by her children, Donna Jones and her husband, Daniel of Prosper, Texas, Newt Spurgin and his wife, Carolyn of Melissa, Texas, and Jennifer Spurgin of McKinney; six grandchildren; brother, Al Butler and wife, Wilma of Arlington, Texas; sisters, Lila Savell of McKinney and Judy Cox and husband, Dickey of El Campo, Texas; great aunt, Jimmie Taylor; and a host of other loving family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral services will be held at 12 P.M., Saturday, April 11, 2009, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, Texas. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park. Family and friends are invited to the funeral home at their convenience on Friday to pay their respects and to sign the register book.
