McLEAN - Minnie Avalee "Mammy" Crockett, 92, died Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2009, in Borger. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today in Hillcrest Cemetery with Jeremy Tate, her great-grandson, officiating. Arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors of McLean. Mrs. Crockett was born May 16, 1917, in the Back community near McLean to William Anderson "Bud" and Martha Margaret "Mattie" Colbank Back. She had been a resident of McLean most of her life before moving to Borger 12 years ago. She married Sherman Crockett on July 7, 1934, at Sayre, Okla. She had worked at Marie Foundations in McLean prior to her retirement. She was a member of McLean Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two brothers, Ansel and Cecil Back; a son, Joe Crockett; and a grandson, Mark Henderson. Survivors include a daughter, Flo Nell Henderson and husband Charles of Borger; a son, Bill Crockett and wife Lynna of Shamrock; 11 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
