Son of James E. & Lucy (Girard) Kirby. Married to Irene A. Liska on 7-7-1948 at Ulysses, NE. Survived by his wife Irene of York; 4 sons, James M. (Georgina) of Sterling, CO, John J. (Jane) of No. Platte, NE, Jeff L. (Jerri) Lincoln and Joel K. (Ann) of Lincoln; 8 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren; 3 sisters, Dolly (Ford) Bond of York, Olive Siffring of Lincoln and Wilma (Lindley) Kessler of Gresham; several nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his parents and 3 sisters, Irene, Gladys and Mildred.
