Bio

Etheline Grace Jones-Craft was born November 26, 1920 in the Shady Dale Community of Love County the daughter of Zade Daniel Jones and Emma Grace Sturdivan Jones. She passed away Sunday, October 28, 2013 in a Gainesville, TX healthcare facility at the age of 92. A 1940 graduate of Thackerville High School, Mrs. Craft also graduated from the Culinary School in Sherman, TX. She married Edward Lee Craft in Marietta on May 9, 1941, and he preceded her in death on February 16, 1993. Mrs. Craft was a seamstress in addition to working at Linda Jo Shoe Company in Gainesville for many years. She also was employed at the Love County Courthouse in Marietta as well as custodian for Cooke County College in Gainesville. Preceding her in death were her parents; husband; great-grandson, Shawn Johnson; two brothers, Pete Jones and A.D. Jones; and three sisters, Pat Bozeman, Ruth Pinkston and Rozella Green. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Jimmy and Pam Craft of Thackerville and Kenny and Bonnie Craft of Roanoke, TX; three daughters and sons-in-law, Martha and Robert W. Beaman of Bridgeport, TX and Gracie Rains and Betty and Marshall Sprouse of Thackerville; brother, Dick Jones of Las Vegas, NV; two sisters, Zadellia Darter of Fort Worth, TX and Emma McGuffey of Dallas, TX; 11 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren. Honorary bearers are grandsons and great-grandsons; and special friends, Roy and Diane Magham and George Vaughn. Graveside Services Wednesday October 30, 2013, 2:00 PM at Mt. Zion Cemetery Officiating: Bro. Murray McMurray Services entrusted to Flanagan-Watts
