Iris McDaniel Shaw 1925-20011 Funeral for Iris McDaniel Shaw, 85, of Fort Worth is 9:30 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 3, at Greenwood Funeral Home in Fort Worth. Burial will follow at 2 p.m. at Pleasant Grove Cemetery No. 1. Visitation was to be 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Shaw died Saturday, Jan. 29, 2011. Born Oct. 19, 1925, to Charles and Abbey (Barrett) McDaniel, she grew up in Wise County and was a longtime resident of Fort Worth where she was a member of River Oaks Baptist Church. She traveled in her younger years. She was preceded in death by her husband, L.G. "Buck" Shaw, in 1985; and sisters Oleta Maxwell of Wise County and Charlene Greg of Fort Worth. She is survived by sons Gary Shaw of Midlothian and Barry Shaw of Alvord; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
