SPJST Vestnik, 18 Nov 2009 Expression of Sympathy SPJST Lodge 25, Ennis officers and members extend their deepest sympathy to the family and friends of ANNIE. C. MARTINEK, age 102, who went to the Lord on Thursday, October 29, 2009, at IOOF Nursing Home at noon while surrounded by family. Visitation was from 6 to 8 p.m. with rosary at 7 p.m. on Sunday, November 1 at J.E. Keever Mortuary Chapel. Mass of Christian burial was on Monday, November 2 at 10 a.m. at St. John Catholic Church with Reverend John Dick officiating. Pallbearers were Douglas Martinek, James Martinek, Jodie Honza, Billy Martinek, Michael Honza, and Corey Baker. Honorary pallbearers were Derek Martinek and Robert Honza. Interment followed at St. Joseph Cemetery under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary, Inc. Annie was born on July 14, 1907, to Josef and Anna (Cvach) Trojacek in Ennis, Texas. She was reared in Ennis and attended Crisp school. On January 10, 1928, she married Joe Martinek and lived with her husband and family on the family farm, since her marriage to Joe in 1928 until February 2009. Annie was a member of St. John Catholic Church of Ennis, SPJST Lodge 25, Ennis, KJZT, and Catholic Daughters. She was well known in the Ennis area for her wedding cakes and her involvement in different organizations. Annie loved to dance and be around family and friends. She will always be remembered for her love of her family and her wonderful smile. Annie is survived by sons Emil Martinek and his wife Margaret; Marvin Martinek and wife Irene; daughters Margaret and husband Johnnie Krajca, Annette and husband Wesley Honza, Betty Macalik, and Adell Rejcek, all of Ennis; 28 grandchildren and their spouses, Linda Trojacek, Doug Martinek, Doreen Honza, Peggy Aaron, Nancy Navarro, Ernest Martinek, Jeanne Clark, JoAnn Needham, James Martinek, Rita Holland, Marlene Clark, Laure Krajca, Allis Droste, Billy Martinek, Janet Nicolyasen, Vicki Wagoner, Karen Puente, Michael Honza, Robert Honza, Arlene Randle, Suzann Baker, Melissa Zmolik, Amy Gurley, Kim Macalik, Gail Martin, Lisa Lipscomb, Kathleen Blake, Sharon Honza; and special friends Luther and Brian Scott; 60 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by husband Joe Martinek on February 3, 2000; son, Milton Martinek and wife Nadine; grandson, Dennis Martinek; son-in-law, Clem Rejcek; great-grandchild Kati Honza; and great-great-grandchild Isabella Reyna; parents Josef and Anna Trojacek; brothers, Joe John, Wesley, Charlie, Ed, and Jerry Trojacek; two infant brothers; and sisters Mary Laznovsky and Agnes Novosad. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the American Cancer Society; SPJST or KJZT Scholarship Funds; or charity of your choice.
