Bio

Housan's dad, Dr. Walter Boyd, lived with Housan and Monroe in Higbee City, Randolph County, Missouri, after the death of his wife in 1897. The 1920 census showed Housan and his wife still living in Higbee City, but by the time of 1930 census, they had moved to Du Quoin, Perry County, Illinois, and were living at 621 Washington Street with their daughter, Pattie Reed, and her family. Housan, a coal miner by occupation, died in Du Quoin at 646 East Park Street. On census returns, Boyd's first name is given variously as Housan, Hansen, and Howsen.
